By now anyone with 1/2 a brain knows it’s coming from Texas and not anywhere in Arizona ! All anyone has to do is use the 2 local SDR’s in Phoenix when the 1111111111111111 station has it locked in and you’ll find no reception of it in the Phoenix or surrounding area. Many loca Phoenix operators have also confirmed this but for some reason some brain less dolts insist it’s coming from Phoenix which it’s definitely not. Now there are several copy cat stations that come and go during the day but again none of those are located in Arizona either .
Here’s what I’ve said on the radio many times:
Most of the time I can’t hear the 111 guy at all. Either using a vertical antenna or a Yagi. I can scan all over Phoenix and hear absolutely zero III guy at times when stations all over the country are complaining about it.
Other times when Texas shows up, that’s the only time when we can hear the 111 guy. When I hear it, I scan my Yagi full-circle and his signal peaks at about 55 degrees bearing from the Phx area. I realize that draws a line going all the way to New York and Maine. The point is that in Central AZ we seldom can hear Texas and practically never hear New Mexico.
So why don’t we use a tiny little bit of knowledge and intelligence and ask someone in Montana or Michigan and Louisiana or Georgia to scan around with their beam antennas too. Just do a simple triangulation and we’ll have a very good idea of the general location of the 111 Guy.
Okay then. I did my part. I’m a little South-East of Phoenix and I’m hearing it peak at 55 degrees. So, who else can use their brain a tiny little bit?
